It is 1942, in the dark woods of Pennsylvania, Richard Mason is the Familiar to a hideous ancient vampiric creature living in the cellar of a mansion in the dark woods. Having served this creature for over a year, his sanity is slipping and the only relief he has is his routines, preparing himself, listening to the same piece of music over and over again and bringing back innocent people to feed the beast below him. He waits, waits for the sounds of screams from the people he kidnaps as they are brutally murdered by this monster... waits for the sounds of the beast coming to call on him, to vent its anger on Mason and beat him like an abused partner. One night, Mason decides he has had enough and refuses to cooperate...
